Why would you want to pick a van lock? I hope you aren't picking it for malicious reasons.

Yes, but thousands of fileing cabinets don't get stolen all the time, cars, on the other hand, do.

T'was the wording, that's all, but there is alot of thievery near me (a good friend got cleared out the day before yesterday) so I'm naturally a bit suspicious, even if it's for someone on the internet. Sorry if my suspicions are unfounded.

Actually I have a van brand lock now and want to learn how to pick it. Excuse me if I want to learn something, that is what the board is for not for you to decide. So if you dont have a legitimate answer NO ONE wants to hear it but you.

Edited for language and content by Romstar (Although, I think everyone can get the gist of it anyway)

You know... I own 2 handguns and I like to know how to use them. Doesn't make me a murderer...
If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of making a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kickass giant robotic parrot!!!

C'mon guys lets get back on "the nice to each other tip" sometimes transatlantic translations can confuse us all at times. I must admit i first thought you wanted to break into a van as thats what we call trucks over here. Good thing is i now know there is a kind of tubular called "van" so learnt something new. Lets not get into a flaming match in this thread as it is for learning and sharing.
Could you post any pictures of the van lock as im sure that would help us all in the understanding of whats required.

Just in case nobody has bothered to really look, Van locks can be found at:

http://www.vanlock.com

There isn't a lot in the way of technical documentation, but I am sure that this information will be made available in the near future.
