Speaking as a moderator, I don't see why not, as long as people use common sense. If someone's asking you how to break into a locker and you get a "troublemaking high school student" vibe from them, you probably shouldn't PM them. Rick doesn't give me that vibe.

I just started doing research on the newer keyway but from those pictures, that looks ridiculous. I leave it open to the individual on whether it's ridiculously crazy or ridiculously fun, both is an option.

I'm still working my way up this level of lock but I'd love to continue hearing everyone's progress.

First of all, a appologize for my bad english. How ever, the lock you showing on that picture is very common here in sweden.
I tried to find a good picture of how it looks inside but i couldnt find any.

As they said before, The regular "line" have 4 pick proof pins and 3 neutrals.
The sidebar how ever is just a F******mess. I dissabled it quite a fiew times and tried to pick it for at least 3 hour total. Im sorry man, this lock might just be the end of lockpicking...
The sidebar pins have atleast 4 false "cheerlines" wich is almost imposseble to recognise.
Im not logged in here that often, but I know a hole lot of those locks though im swedish locksmith. Got questions? please send to swede_jimmy@hotmail.com and ill answer as fast as posseble.

found these from a fleamarket at monday. No keys and wondering what are these?

I just received a package containing assa twin combi, assa 700 and assa d12 so those are familiar but these are with different keyway.
And that´s the first medeco I´ve ever seen here in Finland

haven´t taken these apart yet but when starting to pick then maybe coughonlyonepinatthestartcough

If those Assas have 7 pins, I believe they´re 700-series, 6 pinners are 600. (correct me if I´m wrong).
And a Medeco Bi-Axial. You can tell the model from the logo on the face of the lock. 5 or 6 pins? Very sweet! Never seen an scandinavian oval cylinder with a Medeco plug.

And Medeco is 6 pins. Nice feature in Medeco compared to Assa that you can take pins out straight from the sylinder with a 2mm hex key.

You can tell how many pins there are by simply inserting a pick or a straight probe all the way into the lock. Now lift all pins up with your pick, and slowly pull it out. Listen to the clicks the pins make falling down, count them. Allso its allways nice to feel around with a hook in the lock. Even if the lock is too hard to pick, you get to practice feeling the pins.
There are atleast 100-200 available keyways for Assas. And I bet there are atleast as many protected keyways that you can´t find blanks for.

I wouldn´t want to be a locksmith when customers come to dublicate their keys with very exotic keyways. It seems that you can´t have all the shapes available at the wall.
