Oh you got the $15 change key too, did you get yours off Ebay as well? Man do I feel like a sucker, I just picked up a S&G 8077 with change key for $20; guess it doesn't hurt to have two in case I lose one, oh well.

Actually I stopped by a local locksmith and he said he could order one in. I requested that they set the combination but they didn't.

He didn't happen to mention if the 8077 key is compatible with the 8088 did he? Both the ones I have coming are 8077 keys.

Change key is coming tomorrow, plus I "Made an Offer" for $7.50 each for 4. $30 for four of these sounded pretty good. These are going to make some sweet locker locks.

Change key works like a charm. Just be careful when dialing in the numbers and follow the instructions to the letter. Dial combo - open window - close shackle - dial combo to CHANGE INDEX - insert key & turn - new combo to CHANGE INDEX - release key - dial combo to OPEN INDEX - open.
If it doesn't open you have the ability to reset it if the change window is still open.

Excellent. Someone in the same situation as myself! Mine is set to 25-0, too. I got it for $7.50 and he was so quick to ship it that I didn't have enough time to give him the combo I wanted.
Josh K, how simple of a key is the change key? If you were to show a picture do you think it could be replicated in a DIY fashion?

I'll see if I can get a picture up. It's basically a big pin, but I would try duplicating it myself. Also if you do order another put the combo you want in the messages box when you're paying.

Here's a picture: Like I said, glorified pin. How ever it's worth it to note that between the handle and the first little flag / sail / thing the shaft is round. The little notch where it looks like someone snipped a bit off it round I mean. Also the tip is round. The shaft itself is square. Probably something you could duplicate on a lathe if you had time, but for $15 try to find a locksmith that carries them. Push comes to shove drop me a line and I'll order one for you and ship it.

Okay cool, thanks for uploading a picture!
I actually tried to contact the seller on eBay and asked if I could buy a change key. He said he'd send me one if I purchased two more locks for $7.50 each. So, $15 for a new change key that way. Problem is, I have no use whatsoever for two more of these locks.

I'd offer to take them off your hands but I'm tapped out at the moment. I don't have any use for them currently but heck, cheap great locks. And it kinda pisses me off that he offered you a change key for two. I bought five total off of him and he wouldn't let go of a change key. Maybe those are his last two?

Well it says that he has 100 more so I don't think it is. Did you contact him about it? He seemed pretty happy to give me one if I were to purchase more locks from him. Here is what he wrote: kawachvz wrote:If you like the lock, go ahead and submit an offer to buy 2 more at $7.50 each and I'll include a change key. deal? total of $15
And yeah, I'm tapped out at the moment too. eBay is great at making me lose money when it comes to buying new locks. Hopefully once I can afford it he will still be willing to give me the deal. Even if I don't have a use for these locks, I could probably give one away as a gift and maybe open up the other. The wiki page linked-to earlier describes where to drill to take off the back panel.
