Made a similar pick gun for my 10yr old son using draper electric scissors. I am a Locksmith in the UK and whilst my son can individually pin pick cylinders, he coveted my HPC pick gun. The version made from the scissors works well when, a) it has fresh batteries in it and b) the lock being picked does not have any anti pick pins. The gun is good, but no match for a professional pick gun. Make one as they are good, but if you are a locksmith, you'll need to dig deep and buy the proper item.

i think this is the perfect device to build this tool. i nearly gagged when i saw it on youtube.
for less then $30, depending on where you get it and trick it out, you can
turn this into a awesome tool. got one from the outlet a few weeks ago for $1- so i bought 2 :D .
gonna mod-it-up and post some pics of my design.

I have made one of these a long time ago, it had issues,
1) it tended to chew out the profile from the barrel
2) it damaged the pins badly removing the tip causing the lock to become crunchy to turn the original key
3) the reliability of the unit was questionable as i always needed to repair /replace parts!

On the brighter side, everyone who saw it was impressed, i had to demo sooo many times!
Was good to be able to make it. might be able to digit up and get some images for you all too see.
