Hi all, iam from Holland and ive learned a lot from this forum. so i finally made myself an account here.
My englisch is not the best but i hope you guys/girls will understand. mostly i pick Euro cilinders like Gege and nemef. But i hope to find here some more information about other locks. You can ask me all about Euro cilinders and i hope you can tell me lots of your locks :).

Hello all:

I've been an amateur doing various things for a long time, be it some tries at lockpicking, but mainly lock collecting. Eventually one of my goals is to get a CPL, perhaps a CML from ALOA, but right now, I'm mainly learning, and getting the feel for things.

I also have some lock cylinder designs I plan to see if I can get made, mainly for sport and see how long they last in front of an expert, as well as making something unique.

Hey guys, just started posting on here. Wanted to give lock picking a try I find it interesting

Well, I am new. Just registered. I retired from the US Army over 20 years ago. I was a picker for the Intell side of the house. I really have not used a pick very much since I retired. Grandkids started asking a lot of questions about all the "neat tools" in the shop. I do have a question, if I am in the right zip code. My wife brought home, from the thrift shop, an old coin bank with what looks like a vintage post office box door with the flying eagle on the front. It is a combination lock. It has an old yellowed piece of paper attached to the bottom with what looks like a combination. Not played with one of these so I do not know which direction to start to turn or how many turns. Can anyone give an old guy a lesson on how to open one of these things? I'm pretty sure wanding is out of the question. Thanks for your help.

Hey everybody, I hope that I am in the right place to introduce myself to the forum!

I have been passively browsing the content hosted on this forum for the past few weeks, reading some of the excellent information on here and just generally getting a 'feel' for what the forum (and the people that use it) are like.

I have found some interesting posts on a variety of threads, as well as some guides which teach the mechanics of various different locks. These guides have proven to be a valuable resource!

I'll do my best to keep my posts strictly relevant, and always try finding the information elsewhere (existing threads, Google etc) before asking somebody to explain something that has already been spoon fed to newcomers a billion and one times!

I am completely inexperienced when it comes to actually bypassing locking mechanisms, however I have done my best to get the theory down and hope that I'll be able to make a positive contribution to the forum.

Other than that I have the forum rules and guidelines under my belt, and I think I am ready to go!

I hope my stay here will be an enjoyable one, and I'll see you all out there on the forum!

Hey, I'm to this website and im definately not a locksmith of any kind. i have a safe that i completely forgot the combination to and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to crack it. its a standard spinning combination lock and my goal is to open it without doing any damage to it. so if anyone could shed some light on this situation i would appreciate it. the safe is really small and is in the shape of a soda can and its portable. see the pic below and tell me what you think. thanks

RetiredCIPicker and ronzombi: Safes are considered advanced material, so you won´t get info about cracking those, sorry.
For other questions post them in forums that fit best. (this here is just for introductions)
Read the forum rules and stickies, there is much useful information.
