Just picked up a Masterlock 911 "Commercial Grade" at Lowes tonight. I took the lock apart and it has 5 spool pins on top with five normal pins on the bottom.
Picking since 1995 =)

I have two Brass Masters, a 120 (I don't know if this is similar to the 121) and 130

120 -
3 pins / security pins

130 -
4 pins / security pins

Hope that helps someone :)

Masterlock M830XKADLF (Magnum Series)

Just took one apart:

5 Pins/ 0 security pins.

It's actually a pretty nice lock and seems like it wouldn't be that hard to re-key with security pins or even a better overall cylinder.

Master 930 - no security pins

Postby shaothegreat » 7 Jul 2009 11:04

I purchased a 930 with code "DAI" on the bottom from Sears Hardware approximately 2 months ago and can attest with 100% assurance that there are no security pins in this lock. This lock is why I joined this forum. In my relative inexperience I've goofed this lock up while trying to repin it. All 5 pins and drivers are all smooth as a baby's bottom.

Don't know if this list is maintained, but I tore apart a DG and it did not have any security pins in it at all.

It is a complete pain to take apart too.

Just opened my master 911 to check and it has 5 spools. another noteworthy thing to mention is that a buddy of mine says master stopped putting securities in the 930 but i can not confirm this

Is there any information on what kind of security pins they are to research that further? (searching for specific numbers of locks doesn't work)

the masterlock no. 40 discuss padlock does NOT have security pins. a lot of people seem to think so though.

Yeah that's right. I find these master locks to be the easiest to pick.

Anyone know about the M736 and M830, Just bought them at home depot. I want some with decent security pins to practice on, so if these suck then I want to return them.
