When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.
Its a wood sandwich with two pieces of walnut and a strip of blood wood down the middle. It came out a bit thicker than I wanted but I was a little afraid to remove too much material so I kind of settled. It's okay though because I do have pretty large hands. I was just putting her through her paces and she feels pretty sweet if I do say so myself.
I hope I didn't insult anybody with the jab at trusty old heat shrink. I just looked through all 41 pages of this forum looking for cool home brew ideas and may have over saturated my brain.
The idea was to make something comfy to hold while i was sitting at my desk just practicing locks as opposed to any kind of actual field use. My original thoughts of how it would end up were quite thinner and more streamlined but i kind of chickened out in the material removal stage and it ended up a substantial amount fatter than I originally conceptualized. Thanks for the kind words everybody.
