woo first succesful attempt

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

tried to copy my favorite ln21 pick... and I acctually got pretty close without destroying it.

keep in mind that I only have 2 tiny files... and only 3 inches of material... and NO SANDPAPER :(
im still waiting on my good tools...
but while I wait Im waiting, I may aswell practice.

When you get your proper tools, I'd like to see how they look then too.

Looking good.

One tip though, Lots of fine grit (600+) sandpaper and polish till they shine =)

Pfft, don't stop at 600 grit, if you want a mirror reflection, goto 1000, and 1500 grit. If your crazy (and can find it) goto 2000 grit and wet sand it.

Pretty much anywhere that deals with sandpaper (mostly automotive stores will have the higher grit) I recommend checking online for cheap pricing like ebay, amazon, etc. (and expect to spend lots of time polishing it, it will take a while with finer grit.. and make sure you "work up" to the finer grit, don't start off with a 1500 grit, start around 500, etc. )

Ah cool. I remember looking at Home Depot once, and I couldn't find any of the super high grit stuff.

Auto body suppliers sell a good variety of grit sizes and substrates. Harbor Freight has a decent selection, too.
