Are you sure you didnt see another manufacturer's profile cylinder inside a Millenco multi point lock mechanism?

Here is the company that bought Millenco in 2005, their Products > Lock Cylinders page does not show anything dimple related.

good luck,

havent seen anything yet, just what iv heard from others...

iv seen a pic of what looks like a mult-lock mt5 key with a laser cut profile.

Could have been one of those and maybe they got mixed up then i reckon :D

Just seen it.

Its an mt5 knockoff with a big M stamped on the front. anti snap cuts and reinforced center piece

i suspect sidebar feature is passive as the thing feels pretty cheap to be honest

these are samples of a product not yet sold, il try my best to get my hands on one

apparently none of the local "locksmiths" have opened one yet...

Finally got hold of one  had to pay though... haha

its called a Millenco Magnum

Looking at the key and in the hole. We have 7 angular cuts like kaba use and some kind of laser cut that i havent quite sussed out yet.

Il have a play at both impressioning and picking the lock then il dismantle :-D

How long has this been about? looks far too much like the MTL/LOCKWOOD/ASSA/Abloy/etc/etc ( ) MT5+ on the lazer track idea.

Hope we are going to get a brakdown :p

I'm assuming from the pictures that these are not using telescoping pin stacks?
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I think we are going to see a lot of generic locks with these fancy lazer tracks comming out. It's all totally lost on me because I would much rather aquire something with a bit of pedigree like a Twin or Everest (which have been about donkies years!)

This notion of addressing the bumping issue was solved a long time ago........... but it only seems to have gone full hype again in the last 2 years.

Meh, more lock designs has to be a good thing either way right?

As soon as these sort of locks become cheap and reliable its going to make things much more difficult for the locksmith.

In reality its not making it harder for the criminal they will still crowbar your door/window open regardless of the picking resistance of your lock
