first attempt at making lock picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

this is my second try but my first with a dremel. i used street sweeper bristles in case you couldn't tell. tell me what you think.

Hey that looks a lot better! IMO it wouldn't hurt to lengthen the shafts just a little more and give them a good sanding. Great second attempt and keep at it. Have you tried making any tension wrenches yet? Have you used your homemade picks yet?

the only thing ive been able to pick is my piece of crap old deadbolt but its missing 1 pin so its 4 pins only. and yes i intend to sand them and perhaps make some handles after a trip to michaels craft store for the clay and rona for some sand papaer

That's great man. I'd recommend reading http: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10677 for some great info on the basics. Be sure to throw up some pics of your handles when you're finished.

lol already read that a while ago its a good excercise. I really wanna buy an actual pick set but i cant make online purchases cause im not old enough which sucks :( and my mom wont buy me lock picks she doesnt like paying for stuff online xD

You definitely want to make handles of some kind. Using bare wiper blade stock (or whatever) sucks and is hard on the hands. At least on mine.

:D nice attempt these will get better with each try, sand the buggers next time . You was probebly to eager to show us.take some more time! Sand polish make them shine. Thanks for posting gud-luk for next time

i would have sanded them but i dont have the sand paper on me and i'm a busy highschool student :) lol
