Think about what types of locks lend themselves to tensioning without a wrench. :)

mortice locks can be tensioned from the back... but thats cheating lol
kik cyliners can be aswell...

I got you, as soon as I get home.
besides, I don't want people thinkin the only thing I can pick with 1 hand is pos potmetal cylinders.

those locks are fun 2 pick though, they have small pins like a 5200, but no serrations like a kwikset...

tonight, more 1 handed picking... I'll put my other hand on the wall behind 4 ya... ;)

Now all you need to do is hold the lock in the same hand as the tools and you will have true one handed picking. :wink:

I was thinking of doing a padlock like that... lock it on a hasp use my ring finger to lift it and my pinky to do tension... but i havnt quite got it down yet lol

I would imagine a deadbolt or knob would be relatively easy to pick with one hand, since it's already mounted, but a padlock? Now that sounds like it would be a bit tricky.

Ive done a padlock on a hasp, one handed, the trick is to stabilize the padlock which I did by using baling twine and tightening it into a position I could use. The lock was on a manual bolt inside a half inch steel door with a round hole you could only get one arm into.
