Make a pick from household materials?

Postby combobuster59 » 5 Sep 2004 22:08

:?: Hey everyone..i keep getting locked out of my house, go figure. I am not a licenced anything, i just wanna get back inside every time i do get locked out. Is it possible to purchase such a kit not being a licenced person? If possible, where do i get it. If not possible, what can I use to pick a lock that is around the house?

Cheers

Cheapest way to go, is to have an extra key made at your local home center. Should cost ya less than $2 and you will never be locked out again.

Don't lock the door behind you unless you have your keys in hand.

The shop link at the top of the page will sell to anyone. If you want to make your own there are topics that discuss this all over this forum. It's easier than you think. Either way without an adequate understanding of the locks you are trying to beat you aren't going to have much luck. Read the MIT guide. If you don't understand something, read it again. If you still don't understand use the search tool on this forum. If you still don't understand go ahead and post a topic in the questions forum but people will get irrate if the topic has already been discussed and easily answered with the search tool.

Get a Electronic Dealbolt with a key override, that way you can use your key or when you have a blonde day you can enter your PIN. Now admittedly this only works if you can remember the PIN. It is more expensive then a spare key hidden in a fake rock or even a pick set but it requires less skill and is safet, imho, than a hidden key.
