EZ Lock versus Lockaid Pick Gun (for Schlage)

Postby chickenmcnugget » 20 May 2010 20:42

Hi. I've been reading through the posts and am wondering which pick gun is preferred for schlage locks, or just preferred in general. From what I've read it seems as if the Lockaid (from lockpickshop.com) seems to be the most popular. Also, based off of the descriptions of the products I've inferred that the EZ Lock sort of evolved from the Lockaid.

What are your opinions/experiences with these particular pick guns for Schlage locks and deadbolts? Which do you prefer?

Thanks again.

It really doesnt make any difference to me. It is the skill of the user that makes the gun of choice, the right tool. Personally, I use a Lock Aid, but I prefer to SPP. (more challenging - and sometimes as quick)

I prefer no pick gun for Schlage. Or any other lock. Pick guns suck.

its not just you.. the user has triggered 3 flags in a row

1. 1st post
2. asking about specific lock
3. asking about easy/quick way/tool to open said lock.

He stopped short of asking of ways to make a pick guy quiet, and he didn't post a blurry close up pic of a lock in use. =)

To the OP: we get some people some times up to no good.. this may not apply to you, but over the years certain questions come up from certain posters and man.. if i had a nickel... they're always along the same lines and we have grown weary because we are here to pick locks for fun and challenge, and specifically locks that are not mounted on our front door or someone's front door. We pick locks by holding them in our hand or in a table vise, etc.

globallockytoo is right, those guns aren't magical, they take much practice and adjustments before you can walk up and click click and the door is open.

get a pick set, its more fun and challenging than a pick gun,

Agreed and I hope he isn't one of the people who use this information for illegal things.
