Bogota Rake with "Popsicle stick" Handle

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Bogota Rake with "Popsicle stick" Handle

Postby matthewdanger » 22 May 2010 11:31

I have been using and enjoying a set of Bogota Entry Tools. I am pretty hooked on the Bogota rake and will likely try making a few of my own. However, in the mean time, I was hoping someone could point me to a place to purchase Bogota rakes with "popsicle stick" style handles.

I have seen that Sparrows makes them, but I can't find a place to purchase them individually.

Thanks for your help.

Southern Specialties makes an okay Bogota-style straight-handled pick which can be purchased individually; but if you're gonna have a Bogota, make it yourself. The best tools are handmade tools.

Plus, I've always found the handle style of the Bogota as raimundo makes them to be a huge plus in the ease-of-use category for the technique he recommends. However, if you find evidence to the contrary, I'll be glad to hear about it.

Fair enough. I guess I will just have to make them or keep buying them.

Thanks for the help!

No problem!

Let us know if/when you buy/make some how they turn out for you. I was serious about letting me know!

Make 'em! It's all about the handmade tools.
