That's a smart design, looks like it could be designed to incorporate spacer pieces allowing you to make up different cylinder lengths on the fly.
I think making a euro snap resistant rather than including a delibrate snap off portion is a much better idea. I always though that having a snap off portion is just handing somebody a quick way to remove 4 pin stacks from a lock, making it much easier to pick. Why try to pick or bump a 7 pin mtl lock if you could just snap off half of it and try your hand at a 3 pin version?!
