Street sweeper bristles.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

So, how did it go with tempering? I'm still thinking to buy that brush or not...

The Tempering went good, it helped a lot. But as for tension wrenches street sweeper bristle are a lot better. Chimney sweeper bristles are a little thiner..

are these the same exact dimensions as street-sweeper bristles?
(sorry for bumping an older thread)
It has been brought to my attention that some users do not like the fact that my username has the word "Crook" in it. It is a 10 year old gamertag and I am working on changing it. I hope that it has not caused any confusion // misinterpretation.

Rather than buying an entire sweeper head, you might order what you need from here. They seem to accept small quantity orders.

annealed means softened for working, spring steel would have no spring while annealed.

Exactly what I was thinking Rai

Unless you have a way to keep a consistent heat of around 1500° (kiln/ heat treat oven) Your pretty much buying useless scrap.

If you want to buy spring steel you'll have to look for some that has been hardened and tempered.
