SouthOrd PXS-14 pick set

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I think the W rake is meant more for residential locks such as kwikset and shlage. Since they have slightly larger pins and keyway.

Yes, thanks for that link. For a set like this one, would you guys suggest sanding and buffing out the tips? The tip of my short hook feels a little jagged on one side and I was wondering if that would impair my ability to learn how to feel inside locks.

Most picks you end up buying can benefit from a quick sanding. Use 600+ grit sand paper and knock down all the rough edges and the pick will be that much easier to control if it's not catching on the pins.
