Meeting in Ann Arbor would work great for me at least. It's directly between Lansing and Detroit. I'd be up for getting a group together some weekend. I'm really a beginner compared to most, but would love to get a local group going.

Dougfarre, do you have some contact information for Mitch? Or could you be a mediator between groups?

Any suggestions for meeting places/dates? Just for peace of mind, I'd prefer to meet somewhere a bit more public if possible.

I'm in Ann Arbor most weekends these days, so Sat/Sun would work for me. Any day(s) work better/worse for anyone?

I work to about 6 most week days so weekend would be best for me also.

Do we want to still try to find this hacker space? I don't really know what that is, but I'm assuming it's a place to meet up and work on projects. If not I'd be up for just meeting at some place downtown.

Well, would Sunday, next weekend (the 1st of August) work? Maybe around 2ish? Meet somewhere in Ann Arbor. I'm thinking we could just meet in the Diag, just in front of the library.

What all would people want to do? I can pick a few simple locks, but I'm nowhere near experienced enough to teach beyond a beginner level. Just everyone meet together, show what they've got and share experience? Suggestions?

Sorry been out of town again for work.

Yeah I've been picking for a while but I'm not amazing. I'm better at making picks then using them it seems sometimes. I could bring some of my home made picks for anyone to try out along with a few locks. This sunday I'm tied up again but maybe aim for the august 29th?

First post. I'm in the Ann Arbor area, and hadn't been able to find an active group. Looks like I just missed you guys talking about it.

A few friends and I are talking about trying to get a group started too. I'll be talking about it tomorrow at ArbSec (Ann Arbor Security Meetup).

As for the hacker space, the last I checked / heard, they shared space with Digital Ops on Liberty. Not that far from the Diag.
