You can learn something from everyone you meet if you would just shut up and listen.

I like this idea. Schuyler knows his stuff and he comes across as a really nice guy aswell, so I imagine the project will do great. I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out, I like the design a lot... I have to say though, it's not a completely original concept as wiz did this kind of venture with sparrows not long ago. I know just as well as anyone that proper homebrew picks are far superior to anything mass produced, even peterson... but I had to giggle when he showed how much "faster" they are by pitting a homebrew rake against a southord hook. Obviously a rake is gonna be faster lol, even a southord s-rake will pop those things in 3 seconds flat! I'm just being mean when I say that though lol, I get the message he needs to put across and I'm sure the majority of non-pickin' folk wouldn't get the concept of feedback and such, so it was the best way to demonstrate them within a time contraint. I'm curious about what the picks are, 20 is a lot... I imagine since they're designed mainly for competitive use there will be a lot of rakes but I really hope to see a good variety of hook/offset picks aswell. I'd also like to see a decent selection of tensioners as this is something most pick manufacturers sadly skimp on. I wish schuyler the best of luck and I look forward to seeing these on the market.

Was a half diamond but yeah. Totally rigged! Haha. I'll be detailing what the set will entail in a public update sometime in the next 2 weeks.

watched the videos, enjoyed the program. few and far between are there avenues available for individuals to "kickstart" any program of creativity. i'll inquire as to what is possible with my student organization in my area, no promises--just enthusiastic to support small projects. what kind of benefits are accrued within different donation brackets (i know you said 2grand is a visit, what's the scale otherwise)? good luck some more.

Each of the pledge levels & rewards is listed along the right hand side of the project page, but if you want to get some people to go in together on one, hold off until next week. I'm going to increase what you get from all of the >$100 awards. And thanks! We've hit the funding goal in just 3 weeks, with 7 weeks to go before collection, but I'm excited to see it, hopefully, keep climbing. The more I can raise in the first round, the better my economies of scale which means the more kits I can produce & watch this turn into a real company

Just checked out your site. I was wanting to snag a new smaller set of picks to play with and would much rather help out a "small" guy than a larger company. Decided I also *needed* a set of the practice locks to help those long drives and boring classes we have to attend every year. (shhh! Don't tell my sergeant! ) Good luck!

Thanks! It's appreciated. I can't believe how well it's been going! @Greedy - I changed the $250 & $2500 pledge levels, but the $75 is staying the same. However - as we've had a huge surge recently, I'm adding extra bonuses. Hand made tension wrenches, ustream sessions, things like that. @Wizer - Thank you! I want to be clear, though, it's going to take a bit, once the money clears, to actually get the picks in hand. I'm speaking with manufacturers now, trying to get things lines up so I can move quickly once it's finished, but I'd still expect it to take a little while.
