Just got my "Advanced" diploma in the mail yesterday with a pistol pick. The "Burglar, fire alarm, and security systems" book arrived in a separate envelope.

As long as you don't give them any reason to suspect you being so, you'd probably be alright. Most of my chain of command knows I have picks because I'm a hobby lock-picker, and I've actually had quite a few requests to open up wall lockers (from the rightful owner, of course).
