Nuclear bomb is my preferred method though it tends to destroy the safe and most things inside of it. On the other hand you get some cool fireworks and a cool looking cloud drifting over the country side.

Yearp, difficult to acquire but worth it. I think you need to get airspace clearance which is always a bugger...

I did see one method involving thermite to burn a hole through the top, filling the safe with water and lowering a chunk of plastic explosives inside... Impressive, pretty hefty door flew a good 20 meters :-D

Actually that won't always work. A bank vault (vault=really big safe) in Hiroshima survived the atomic blast completely intact.

I heard of that, didn't someone survive inside it?

It's still fun even if you don't get the safe open...that just means you need more and bigger bombs. The bombs used in WWII are child's play compared to the explosive power we have at our hands today.

Me too. But I did notice that you guys were arguing about dialing order, and that's not what the original statement was about. The original statement was about getting all the wheel packs lined up, which I believe can be done in either direction (at least on every combo lock I've tried).

Wow, did this thread ever get derailed or what?

Don't waste your time guys, the original poster hasn't even bothered replying since his initial post. I wonder how many people come here asking a specific question hoping were just gonna all have a magical secret answer on how to open a safe or a car or a house lock. (yes, I know he never asked how to open it, just if anyone was interested in practicing their skills to help him open it)

mythical answer that opens all combination locks on earth:
"turn it to the left 9 times, then listen for the click when it rotates past 0, and then turn to the right and it will open"

^^^ don't we wish this was true, but then again any bad guy with google would find it very very quickly, which just for the record, is why we don't discuss safe opening in the public forums.

I asked him in a duplicate thread he made to tell us what brand safe, what brand dial/lock or to at least post a pic. How can we offer any real help when people just say "I have this lock I cant open, how do I open it" I mean, come on.. really?

If that thing is a Sentry 1250 or some piece of crap from Walmart, I'm sure he could just drop it in his driveway and it would open, but if he has something like a Mosler, Amsec or Guardall then he's going to have to pay someone to drill it or manipulate it open.
