Postby blackjacker2 » 8 Aug 2010 15:08

Ok i aint english sow any questions because i didt not explain it to well can made aswell!

Ok are Pickguns first realy needed in a hobby ? its a mechanic AUTO picker "i think it isnt realy fun with pickgun but i thought another time its a cool thing!!!"
And i orderd yesterday a pickgun "already canceldt it because it was from dealextreme and i heard bad stuff about it"
i was buying the downward eagle of 32 dollars! i heardt to many complains about the tension dail failing etc!

now when i canceldt it i finded a shop calt lockpicktools.com
and i already buyt a "jack knife pick"
but now i cancelt me pickgun i am thinking to buy the LRCH-30 (you can find this set at the site lockpicktools.com )
but i aint even sure me first package will come ? and is it even a good set to lockpick or not ?!?

didt someone already buyt from this site ? and didt receive it ???
+ i am from belguim sow i would be happy if even a someone of belguim has buying these stuff from that website ???

"if ya got spare time for me this question is allso VERY important for me is lockpicks allowed in belguim i need to know this for the duane"

THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH IF YOU CAN ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS

The short answer:

You will not need a pickgun in this hobby.

The jack knife pick set is a novelty and generally not recommended.

The longer explanation:

A pickgun takes the fun out of the hobby. Being able to manually pick is where the fun comes from. Knowing that you can pick the lock and not just use some automatic tool.

The jack knife pick set is larger and heavier and therefore provides less specific feedback about what's happening in the lock. This means that you really must know what you're doing in order to use them.

And would you recommmed the LRCH-30
"do you know lockpicking import is allowed for the duane ???
i hope these are local europe laws then they would be allowed (i know UK people that got lockpicks from it)"

I don't like lockpicktools.com's web interface, so I have never even bothered to look at their products, so I can't say either way if they are good or not.
The LRCH-30 seems a bit excessive for a first set (correct me if I'm wrong but this is your first set?)

I know nothing about import laws as I live in the US and buy from US based companies. Google is your friend and can help you find the laws.

This isnt me first lockpick set

i got a set from Majestic with 10 picks and 2 tesion wrench's
but i think 10 lockpicks arent much and the case sucks xD (just to little for a set of 13)
an example: http://www.kingofswords.com/Lock-Picks/ ... Pouch.html

And i didt already use Google :p i didt it in a dutch way english way and even french way "when belguim is dutch + french"
i already didt "EN:Belguim lockpick laws /NL:Belgie lockpick wetten /FR: lois crochetage Belgian"

i cant find anything so i suppose it is legal ???

Good to know it's not your first set. So, ask yourself: what is your current set lacking? What would you like to do that you cannot?

If you find that you have a few favorite picks, then maybe just getting very high quality versions of those would be good.

You got farther than I ever could in the whole googling thing, so I won't be able to help you there.

Have you done a search? search.php?keywords=lockpicktools.com+&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Have you looked in this thread? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1423

Some people might only visit the forums once a day, so give it some more time. In the mean time, search and look through the results for what people say about them.

Picks designed for Euro locks will generally say "slimline" or something to that effect.

lockpicktools has their E-series which do what you want:
See: http://www.lockpicktools.com/images/europicks1-400.jpg
E-Series Picks No's 1-6
1E-Euro Slim line offset diamond
2E-Euro Hollow Half Diamond
3E-Euro Straight shank Half Diamond
4E-Euro Slim Line Short Hook
5E-Euro Offset Half Ball
6E –Euro Wave Jiggler

So instead of trusting what everyone here is telling you, you still have doubts and have to go ask the company selling the picks?

I don't think you will ever be satisfied with any answers we give you. You'll just keep asking the same questions worded slightly differently to see if you get a better answer from different people.

and people wonder why I'm such a prick to n00bs...
