You must have different rules/codes in the states then, double cylinder deadbolts are allowed (but not encouraged) here in most of Canada.

I don't know where you're getting that... I never said a
properly protected door could be kicked in... I said that many doors I see with fancy locks often have weak links in their security setup allowing them to be easily kicked in.
Fact is I fully agree with you that a
properly protected door and frame cannot be kicked in. I live in a Condo and my own door would need to be resQsawed or destroyed to get in (I reinforced my door frame with angle iron and long bolts at the striker and hinges, and reinforced the lock area of the door with a custom stainless overlay).
