When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

i've found some interesting idea on the net. you might take a look. very clever, and sure working on locks with not much bitted surface.

interesting concept, the tensor could use a better handle, and the rake could be any slimline halfdiamond pick
lesson learned: tensors that are fitted to the keyway shape are very good, cheap locks are @#$%^&

Ok, I was bored. LP101 and youtube allways get me trying new things, thanks people!
Too bad I don´t have many locks raking would open. This blank / tensioner fits many locks tho.

Haha Wizer I didn't even read farther down the thread and just started watching the movie. Your handle is almost exactly what I was thinking about while watching the video. Nice job! 8)



On a side note, what do you guys think would be easier to do in order to make these? Grind two different keys down to make one? Or attempt a rip cut down the middle?

I would use two blanks, but I´ve got a belt sander so its easy to grind half of the key away.
