Postby stefzeer » 7 Oct 2010 2:14

Is it possible to LOCK a door with a bumpkey ?And if it is , then how ?
I've tried just to reverse the unlocking process with the bk ,but it doesn't seems to work.
Thanks in advance!

i do hope you are not doing any illegal act there. divert your interest to lock that is not in use please, so that either you damage it in your practice or whatever, nothing is compromise. i mean no offense just a guide if you may. regards

i'm relieve stefzeer, okey here's the solution... bumpkey it the normal way as in opening , let say clockwise.. after that...(since you have dificulty in turning it counter clockwise) then use a plug spinner to turn it to the direction you want, And if you dont have a plug spinner (this is a special tool homemade or commercially built) , go back to stage one. bumpkeying the opposite turn direction.. and oh,if you are left handed it helps. :D

Yes, you just add tension to the opposite direction which allowed you to open the lock with. This is usually towards the frame of the door but there are exceptions (usually locks installed upside down).

Sounds like you may have turned the plug a full 180 degrees without the key inserted and caught the driver pins in the keyway. If so you will need to insert the flat end of a pick or something similar to press them all down whilst applying torque to rotate the plug out of the way. You can then either continue turning until it locks or insert your bumpkey to do the same job.

so what you are asking i think is "is it possible to LOCK a LOCK with a bumpkey" short answer is yes or you could follow the other members reply and use a plug spinner ,but i can,t help but thinking your question is a little suspect, and i think i need a little bit more convincing that your wearing a white hat ,before i offer you any more advice
Alcohol, the cause of ,and the answer to, all my problems,
