Good top of the keyway tension wrenches?

I remember seeing Marc Weber Tobias use a wrench like the one in the far left for TOK tension in a video. Would you recommend using buying that one from Southord. I bought the MPSX-14 from there a while ago and the only thing it's really missing is a good wrench for TOKT. I'd like one that would work for most standard locks and padlocks.

I'd also like a more durable small wrench. I use the small one for small padlocks, but it's pretty flimsy.

Any in particular you'd recommend?

Peterson Pry Bar Lite or Peterson Pry Bar are the best IMO. http://www.peterson-international.com/tensiontools.html There have been a few topics on this, and people generally agree that they like the Peterson pry bar or home made ones best.

Thank you. Do you think the Pry Bar Lite is really necessary? What kind of locks have a keyway that's too small for the regular one? I'm assuming it's probably padlocks and European locks.

You could also save money and make your own top of keyway tension wrench by using a windshield wiper insert and just bending it 1/4 inch instead of the usual 1/2 inch, or make a double ended one which will work for both top and bottom of keyway tensioning.

I have a homemade one like that that I made from a street cleaner bristle, but it's not nearly as stable as a pry bar probably is.

the wrench on the left is a split tensor, top and bottom of keyway tension. its a pretty good wrench for the job when its necessary. the actual cost of one of these the last time I bought one was probably between fifty cents and a dollar. probably more now though.
Dont let the hype fool you, you can make as good or better TR than any that is sold by any commercial shop. for top of keyway, the idea is to have a wrench that does not slip out, and does not enter so far as to impinge on the first pin.
this means each keyway needs a dedicated fitted wrench, just like hexhead bolts need dedicated wrench.
commercial wrenches are a one size might work in a lot of cases, but not a fits all comers.

Anyone who needs shopping advice for tension wrenchs because they cannot make one....
nevermind, Im getting tired of this site.
