Any tips or guides on how to pick the master lock 5TRILFPF. It has 4 pins and a yellow strip on the bottom thats about all I know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

after a not so lengthy search i have found different pin counts for the lock. some say 4 and some say 5 pins so my first guess would be to figure that out. after that i would check for security pins (if you still have the package it may say if and what type it may have). and after that comes much practice and possibly frustration.

i will admit im pretty new here and to the sport in general so take my words with a grain of salt.

not particularly a difficult lock to pick, has four pins...highly doubtful there are security pins. the yellow bumper, just to prevent wear and tear. my advice: start with a hook, in the back and work forward. probably a key no longer than two inches, if you see the biting on the key it will help substantially to know what is going on inside. also make sure the lock is in working order, and not in use. light tension, start in back.

With Masterlocks I find it easier to aimlessly and wrecklessly rake the hell out of it. I'm almost completely serious!
But it might be helpful to tell us where you are in regards to actually picking it.

I agree! Many standard master locks often are difficult to SPP because the pins don't move well, making it difficult to tell if it is set; although this poor quality usually makes them very easy to rake.
