Old Abloy Mortice Lock

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Old Abloy Mortice Lock

Postby madhouse » 2 Nov 2010 21:33

Has anybody heard of an Abloy No. 442 mortice lock. They were apparently used here in Australia about 20 years ago. My customer's lock has had it and I need to know what the current part number might be for this lock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jaakko should be around here somewhere, he's the expert, but in the mean time, does this help? click the icons on the website to look at surface mount locks, mortised locks, cylinders, etc..

Maybe it will at least help you find a lock with the same size case.

good luck,

Style Finnish were the Abloy distributors in Australia for many years. Albert Chantry first brought them in many many years ago.

I'd contact API or whatever their name is now. they'd have the info you want I expect.

The lukuexpert site was very good but the lock I'm after wasn't there. API weren't able to help because the number didn't appear on their computer! A helpful chap at Western Lock Service thinks he may be able to help if we send him a photo.
