Taking apart a lock

Postby Shaun1987 » 5 Nov 2010 21:04

Well I have this very easy 40mm Sterling lock. My god is it easy to pick, I'd really like to get inside it and find out why! It has no observable screws etc to take it apart, does anyone know if its possible without machine tools?

Thanks!

While I'm at it, does anyone have any spare locks they dont want? or are going to chuck away?

I'm finding it hard to find any decent locks around where I am (stevenage - England)

If not, thanks anyway!

I don't know the brand but when its unlocked can you see if there is a screw in where the shackle goes, if there isn't you probably can't pull it apart without having to drill out the brass plugs on it.

It has a brass pin perpendicular to the shackle hole, doesnt look like I can do much to that :(
