Convenient Methods of Transportation

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Convenient Methods of Transportation

Ranging from the Southord Pen and jack knife sets (I'll post a link) to belt pouches, these provide a convenient less bulky then the giant zip bags and the disarray or the small button pouches. I owned a jack knife set a while back and i loved it, i carried it on a key chain clipped to my belt loop, I always had it when i needed it and i didn't have to worry about loosing my more expensive sets. I just wanted to make a post with a few links i think provide as a convenient set.

Here is the SOUTHORD jack knife

Pen set #1

Pen set #2

The K.G.B. belt set

A wallet Pick set

There is also a credit card set I don't really suggest it except for maybe novelty

If you find something else i don't have here feel free to post it! Thanks!

You speak of the jacknife set as a memory, did you loose it or break it

A pair of bogotas can be pinned to your shirt, and they are the lightest weight set available. www.serepick.com

Also extremely effective.

I bought a pair of earbuds a while back and they came with a little zip up case about the size of a business card. One side had a stretchy Velcro strap and the other has a pocket. I bought the Jack-Knife pick set from lockpicktools.com (To be honest, it seems much better than southord's jack-knife since 1 handed pick switching is very very easy and takes only a few seconds (just flip the lever down, picks swing out, switch pick, push in other picks, flip the lever up). I care that in the headphone case, along with a few home made picks i had since I first started picking (Im so used to mini picks, that Its hard to use standard sized picks, but thats all fine by me) The picks and Jack-Knife are kept in the pocket, while the strap holds all my home made torsion wrenches. It all slips easily in my pocket and they're always on me everywhere I go.

On an added note, I do see the pen pick set and Southords jack knife pick sets as very portable, but switching picks is impractical, especially for the pen pick set. I thing a mini set of picks would be better. I know there are several of these "pocket sets" available in many places. I think every picker should have a standard set when needed, but also a backup pocket set for emergency use. Im not sure about all of you, but my pocket set (my only set to be honest) came in handy numerous times. People locking the keys in my school's autoshop office (happens so often I cut a rake pick as a key duplicate. Just give it a little jiggle with some tension and the lock opens right up), dropping my friend of at home and her being locked out since she for some reason wasn't given a key, being locked out of my house, and such. You never know when youre gonna need picks so I always have em on me.
