This site is amazing for the nOOb lock picker. Together with digital blues 'Beginners lock picking exercise' what more could someone new to lock picking need. I had stripped a 5 pin cylinder and was repinning and picking it one stack at a time - mainly by the poke and prod method - until I found digital blues exercise. Then i paid more attention to what was happening. Now I have found your lesson I am paying more attention, especially as my next lock has 6 pins, of which, 3 are security pins of the spool type. I will follow your advice and get the feel for them - one at a time. Thanks for taking the time to help the likes of me it is really appreciated.

I wish there was a way to sort these posts by age; being new, trying to absorb as much as possible, but everywhere I go I'm confronted with dead links. I'm inclined to believe that there's more happening in the advanced sections, but I doubt I'll ever meet the posting requirements to:( I wish I was more knowledgeable...
