Can't "un" lock...

Okay, so I bought the cheapest door lock I could find at walmart, a mountain security one.

I have successfully Locked it 5 times (that is, turned it in the direction it requires to lock it, when it's already locked.).

However, not once have I been able to get it to Unlock.

Am I missing something, or am I just being a moron?

Funny isn't. Locks like this make you feel dumb. However this is very common. Some locks only want to pick in one direction. Thank God we have plug spinners.
