Hey all,

I just finished (one is just about finished) a couple of commissioned picks. Let me know what you think.

LocksmithArmy commissioned the bloodwood dual hook.

A kiwi gent contacted me about the bogota. Btw, oh master of the bogota, what do you think of my bogota?

Additionally, any critiques? It looks like more and more people are interested in procuring my custom picks. I am no raytoke, certainly, but I look to provide the same quality.

When I get the time this weekend, I will take proper pics and show each pick being held in the hand. The bogota pick handle is ergo so that the back curve goes over the web of the hand between the thumb and index finger.

I don't have much in the way of critique, but I want to say that's a beautiful bogota. Impressive!

you asked what I think of your bogota, the images are no longer working so going by what I saw yesterday, Yes, I think you are doing it right.

and your handles are intriguing, thats why I asked for a photo of a hand holding it. there is obviously a particular hold intended.

I think that the webmaster or whatever removed your images for being too many pixels or whatever. the usual way to link an image to this site is to use something like flickr or other cloud site.
Thats why I don't post photos much on this site, in fact, the only photos I have on the site were sent a paper copies to DB and he posted them.
Im not joining any new sites like flicker because I just am reluctant to join anything, ever since I finished my tour in the army from 67 to 70. that cured me of joining.

Oh, now the photos are there. your bogota looks good. theres a place in the slope of the picks third peak that looks like a thin spot that you would not want there, but that probably is due to the shadow of the pick causeing the image to appear that way,

I will be doing that down the road. I want to get some corby rivets, but they are pretty expensive. The ones I want are ~$5 a piece. They would make for a very delectable piece, overall.

I think I may have gone over quota on my site (http://www.thegeekispeak.com), but it appears to be fine now. Not really sure what happened there.

As for the thin spot, that is the picture/shadow issue that shows attenuation where there is none. I have some new pics, but still need to take one of it in my hand. The ergonomics of the handle is to have it slope over the web of the hand. I am still playing around with designs, however, so be on the lookout for different ideas as my next picks get made. I have a few more orders to fill now. People seem to be okay with me taking artistic license with the handle design.

Is there anything in particular that you would like to see that has not been done yet?

Thanks, Rai. Now you can see what I am referring to for ergonomics. This does not mean that all of my picks will be shaped as such, but it certainly does help with the overall feel of the pick in your hand. I have been studying the original bogota and I will be playing around with some different designs to try and emulate the down-turned handle like that of serepick.

I started cutting the ebony for your bogota last night. The piece I got is all black, so it will be a wicked handle. I will be working on the design today.
