Hi, I can't understand how picking Mottura pump model works. I watched these two videos but I don't understand them. Can you help me?

I would think of it as a Tubular lock, "in a row" instead of circular?

They seem to use two different techniques. The first applies the "wrench" to the side (no pin) while the second applies it in the middle (dummy?) pin. I tried both of them but in the first case no pin seems to bind while in the second all pins bind!
