Hello all,
Its been a while since I have been around the forums much but I’m back and I have some good news.
The London Hacker space has been hosting a small locksport workshop on a fairly regular basis for the past few months. I took a trip down last month to meet up with the guys running it and they have a great setup.
They are a membership organisation but are happy for people to come along and try things out. The next locksport event is Saturday February 12th and they have been kind enough to invite anyone who would like to come along regardless of if you have tried to pick a lock before.
So if you can, I want people to do two things.
1 – If you are in the area or willing to make the trip please come along. If you are new to the sport then please do not let this put you off. We will be happy to guide you in the right direction with any tuition you need. If you are a more experienced hobbyist then you know how much fun it is to sit around and geek out over locks not to mention putting your skills up against other pickers, plus its always fun to teach a newcomer to the sport.
2 – If you do come along and have a spare lock or two then please do bring them along for the hacker spaces communal collection of locks. They have a growing collection of locks but they also wear them out at a considerable rate with newcomers sawing away at the pins (as we all did when we started out). So any nice cheap euros or padlocks you feel your skills have outgrown would be eagerly received.
I am hoping this can become a regular arrangement and meet up of various forum members so please come along and show your support.
Workshop starts around 3pm onwards

Hope to see you there!
