Hi everybody, I'm looking for some help, since a friend of mine challenged me today, giving me a padlock that I'm not even sure I can open with normal picking tools u.u
it's a CISA 28550 padlock, look for it on the net; actually it's not mine, my friend bought it =/,so I can't practice all the time opening it...has anybody ever opened it??? I need help, I don't want to lose this challenge! xD(or at least just tell me if i actually CAN open it or if i need some special tools)
Thanks in advance =)

Yes, it's possible, look in the upper right corner of this picture... but you must be experienced, a novice picker can't pick this beast! Cheers

Thanks for the info, now at least I know it's possible xDD
You said a novice can't pick this...what is the main reason? I'd like to focus on that the next time i see that tricky padlock x_x, i don't want to be unprepared

This is one of the best made Cisa padlock, tolerances are tight, the keyway is narrow and it's full of security pins. This is the worste way to learn picking! Start with an easy lock and build your skills one step at a time. Practice with a lock until you completely manage and understand it. Then you can move to something a little harder. After a while you'll find yourself opening a lot of locks with ease... then you can ask your friend to play with his lock again. Happy picking

Just found this thread and I got interested if you ever get the lock picked? Did you wind the bet?
To PICK a lock all you need is self control, patience, endurance and a pick... To OPEN a lock all you need is impulsivity, anger, intolerance and a sledgehammer...

28550 is provided with LIM profile key...which is not the hardest to beat of cisa production.....that, instead ,is the series that ends with "57"....provided with RS3 cylinder. (RS3 isn't so hard to pick too)
