Are you sure that is a key ?

It looks a lot more like some kind of measurement tool...

what... more pictures please? maybe from the tip?
The BiLock isn't the first bump proof pin tumbler because it isn't a pin tumbler.
And it's called a shear line, not a "sheerline".

mmmmm, I haven't a clue, but I'm sure we'll know soon enough. I just had to comment on this. That's very interesting, especially the bow. If I had to venture a guess I'd say it's not so much a key, but maybe more of a tool. Maybe to get readings of some sort?

I'm wondering why it has a 3 axis gyroscope on the handle. if it is a key it looks as if it goes to something that has has a locking mechanism similar to an Abloy.

But that's just me.

I'm more confused by the site it's hosted on. Pet meats? :|

And the filename is "launchkey"... so that's a bit of a hint. Zeebaron, how did you find this?

Agreed, can you put something else in the pic for size scale. For some reason this "key" looks like a 7 foot tall horrid lawn ornament from a garage sale, there's my guess, lol.

The bit in the middle reminds me of a spark plug gap gauge. If it is, then the rest of it could just be a 'design' to look interesting, or, if the middle bit slides along the channel, it could also combine a tyre tread depth gauge - although for this there would have to be markings on the other side or on the area that the sliding bit covers in the photo.

Interesting, whatever it is.

Cheers...

I feel like a "keyway" pic would be helpful to make sure it's not a key...

I think it's the key to the cow-cannon to feed the tigers!

My best guess based off of the variance in build quality and metals used, seems like its a home-made "cosplay" (for the lack of a better word) "steam punk" key or ornament.

Search those terms and I'm sure you'll see similar things.
