E500XT electric gun

Postby ronhollin » 24 Mar 2011 20:23

So I got my new electric pick gun today and I tried it out on 3 different dead bolts and I picked the first one is about 5 seconds. The other two in less than 15 seconds. I went back to practice and pick the same 3 deadbolts and I could not even pick one of them. Worked on them forever and couldn't get back into them. What gives?

Just to be sure, you have tried using the keys on the locks, to make sure they are actually fully functioning? Have you taken them apart to check that the guts are in order?

If both of the above are fine, the lock works as it should, then it probably comes down to more practice. It's possible to have success picking something really quickly, then not being able to pick it for a while. It happens.

Especially with items like automatic pick guns, snap guns, raking and such. It can be difficult to get a consistent positive result with something that is not as precise as single pin picking. Or at least that is my opinion on using all the methods I just listed.
