Need some suggestions.. (this is an odd one...)

So, I have a new job. Which requires I carry a (insert expletive here) -tonne of keys with me at all times. (and a portable radio, two blackberries, badge, ID card and a pager- ugh)

With that said, I'm actually carrying around 25 keys at all times, no matter where I am and what I am doing. (other than when I am @ home, than they are sitting on my desk) Of course, masterkeying is not an option, as some are for vehicles, some for padlocks, some high security, different buildings in different counties, etc.

I need a semi viable quiet solution for carrying around all this metal. shoving them in my pocket fails. Key clips are just so "custodian" / "floor sweeper" to me. (plus they are noisy heck with all that jingling) I'm really at a loss on this one. Even my old duty belt key keeper cannot hold a quarter of these keys.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :)

I hope this isn't the same thing as that key keeper because this here is the only thing I can think of that might be practical for you. I don't know for sure if it would be able to retain 25 keys, but it might be your best bet.

As an alternative, maybe something like a leather dice bag fake or otherwise could work. Keep the keys on the ring on your belt and snug the pouch around them and tie that to your belt or to the key ring.

Exactly what I already tried..

Second option is not viable.. I need something that will semi blend in when in uniform or plainclothes.

Okay I think I might be able to help still :)

Something like this or maybe this or perhaps this you could wear on your belt next to a key clip. Just use a lanyard attached to a key retainer and keep the keys in the pouch. The PDA pouch is even foam padded and all these are from a brand that I've trusted for years.

I've seen some with more, plus you could probably fit several keys on one ring. Just a thought!

hi unlisted, my fellow locksmith has the same problem you've got. i did solve mine. what i did was cutting all the key heads in pre-required size, and shapes, and install those keys in a one side open eclosure. i use the hex ranges housing i found, (like the housing for Proto Hex ranges) now i have 14 different mks, gmks, control key in one neat enclosure. i'll post the pic, sometime tommorow. regards.

hi unlisted here i was able to finish it early. hope it can give you some idea. in your case you got 25 keys, so its likely you will have 14 keys each side. or you can have two of this enclosure. that is if you find this a solution.
here are the pics.
