Fix A Flat impressions

Please correct me if im wrong but is it possiable to use "Fix-a-flat" foam spray as a key for tubular locks. What i mean is spray it in the key hole and add preasure to get the impression of the pins. Then press all the way in when hardened and turn holding onto the excess.

Fix a flat is a foam spray that quickly hardens into a solid state.

i wouldnt think that would work.... nothing would prevent the driver pins from going up too high (which will happen if you apply too much pressure on the pin

but if it did work i dont think you could get it (the dried fix-a-flat) out after the lock was "picked"

Now there is a new one I never thought of before.

Although I think Bonuts raises some valid points. The foam offers no way to keep the drivers from pushing up too far, and the foam could very well get into everything. Completely gumming up the works.

If you have some locks you can try it on, let us know what your results are, but I can't see this being a great method.

I sure hope NASA doesn't secure shuttles with these type of locks, cus that the only way I can see this leading to putting a man on the moon.

It seems everyone is always looking for an easier way to pick locks. If you spend the time practicing picking instead of experimenting you won't need to find easier ways.

That is true but if you find ways to make lock picking idiot proof and a sure bet then you will make money and have the easy life.

Plus, figuring out all the bypass methods is essential to improving the security of locks.

it did not work but was very fun to try, i love that stuff. Very hard to spray a small amount.
