Help identifying types of picks

I have a klom electric pick gun i have picked 2 locks so far now im trying to figure out what the other pciks are for i need your help identifying them i have ,12 Pick blades for standard cylinders with flat keys,4 Pick blades for dimple pin cylinders,4 Pick blades for wafer locks,2 pick blades for cross locks.http://www.multipick-service.com/htdocs ... s/klom.php


I have found a website that has some of the picks i have can u tell me what pcik is for what lock?

i have PN-1,PN-2,PN-3, PN-4,,PN-5,PN-6,PN-7,PN-14,PN-15,PN-17

It doens't work that way. It's not like a hook pick is meant for Schlage and a snake rake is meant for BEST and a half diamond is meant to open Medeco or Corbin Russwin.

All of those picks can open all of those locks, what matters is how much experience the operator has to choose the correct pick for the situation. There is no table or matrix we can show you for brand of lock to pick profile.

If you're picking as a hobby, using a Klom gun may be cool for about 5 minutes, but there's no skill involved. Get a set of Southord picks instead, you'll actually learn how to pick. Anyone can stick an electric pick tool in a keyway and press a button and open the lock within 30 seconds with enough luck. There's no pride or respect in opening a lock like that. If you're doing this for work, then in time you will learn which opens what the best for you.

A good selection of hooks should get you in most locks that can be discussed in this section of the forum. So far, I have used a Peterson Gem for almost everything I have picked. Just find a few good hooks, and practice on whatever locks you can find.
