Master lock identification

Postby Shyfted » 9 May 2011 21:36

I bought a whole bunch of cheap master padlocks from ebay but I'm having a hard time identifying them (so i can see how many security pins, if any, they have). One of them has a number 81 stamped on the bottom, but the rest dont have any numbers at all. Should I just post pics here or is there a website somewhere that has a list of them with pictures?

Hi Shyfted,

it's useless to find info about the pins if you're dealing with simple locks like your padlocks.
Pre-concepts will distract you from the important part of the game: the feedback! Just focus on the pins, they'll tell you what's happening.

If you want to find out their name or model number, maybe you can look on their website http://www.masterlock.com/products/category.jsp

Cheers :)
