Making a key for 2005 kawasaki ninja ZX6R

Postby marshaltonhutton » 20 May 2011 22:47

i am trying to make a key for a 2005 kawasaki ninja!! A motorcycle book that i have written by a locksmith says the key should be a kw15bp!! however that key blank is to wide to fit in the gas cap lock!! so we found that a ka16 which is the same as a ka 14 but has a longer shaft past the shoulder stop fits in quite nice, on my genericode program i found the associated depths and spaces for that key and works great with the gas cap lock which has 5 wafers in it! the code series with that says there is only six cuts and have been made aware that there is likely 7 cuts in the ignition!! cant seem to get the key to work in the ignition because it is only a 6 cut key i assume!!! anybody have any ideas on this!!
