pick making???? help plz

ok well i watched tv last week and saw some defcon stuff on tv and saw the lockpicking contest and it looked cool and thats why im going to give this a try not to sound too nobbiesh. but i already got pyro's video on making them and my picks are not turning out like his or any of the pictures ive seen also i was wondering about the street sweeper bristles how good do they work a pic??? if i can see on b/c to me they would look like a steel brush and also if anyone knows where i can get them i live in the country and we to poor to get sweepers lol and can i also see pics of yalls pics in still motion ive tried pausing the vid but it always goes a lil bit farteher.

If you're having trouble locating street sweeper bristles which come usually from the street sweepers dropping them then try hacksaw blades. I primarily use hacksaw blades myself. They are very cheap and can be bought from any hardware store. Usually one dollar, maybe two, for a set of two possibly three. I try to get the lower counts on the teeth just so they're easier to grind on. As far as how good the street sweeper bristles work I would assume just as good as any other spring steel except their width is perfect for most pick uses.
