Archaic Supra C Alfabet combo Keybox/padlock Blues

This house is so old, I once found a corroded, oozing, can of the first home bug bomb, under the bathroom sink. Probably pure DDT.

The Supra C is a way cooler find, but I haven't been able to get into it in order to change the combo. I can't even shim it! and I've made so different ones my fingers were sore for days. I don't know how old it is and I've read all the discussions on Supra C's that I could find, most were related to the new technology for KeyBoxes.

I'm obsessesed now and willing to drill, if someone would tell me how to. The Box is on the front of the storage shed (that I access only by using MYSELF as a "shim") and I really would like to open the door without damaging it permanently.

Unfortunately, discussion of things like key safes, drilling locks, etc., are restricted to the advanced forums. It's not that we don't want to help... it's just that we don't want the next kid who wants to break into a real estate agent's lockbox to Google "how to break into a keybox" and find detailed instructions here. (And, in fairness, those locks are more usually used by real estate agents than people wanting to hide the key to their shed.)

One thing I am curious about, though: I may have misunderstood your post... but how do you know the key to the shed is even inside that box, if you've never seen it open?

I dont need the key really, its a padlock: as in its locking the shed and if I had the combo I could open the shed and the little key box which may be empty, dont know or care.

OK, I looked at my pics and I guess I took them too close up for your to access my "situation"

I uploaded another pic, one taken from my kitchen window, hope that helps. You can see, it hangs from the door of the shed like a padlock and the shed door slides on tracks, the space on the tracks is where I shim myself through, which is getting old. I'm probably just gonna have to break that off somehow and figure out away to lock the door again later.

Call a professional out to cut that off either with the proper sized cutters or with a torch...

As has been previously stated discussion of the manipulation of combination locks (especially school locker locks or Realtor type keysafes) is an advanced section only activity...
