Amazing - those are *precisely* the parts I was looking for.

I'm going to buy enough to fix all the goofed up locks I have.

Those padlocks with the retaining "rivet" instead of a screw can be taken apart by punching the rivet out, through the shackle hole, with a slender punch. The same rivet can then be reinserted and spread with a punch or phillips screwdriver.
