Safe Opening Classes

Postby thertel » 21 Sep 2004 13:39

So theres been a couple of threads lately that talk a little about safes and this has gotten me extremely interested in learning more. Are there any books and or classes that are available that anyone could recommend.

Thanks,

Thomas

With ALOA being in texas you should look on their website or call them. I am almost certain they offer clases. I know they could steer you to someone who is offering them in our area of Texas.

the 15 minute safe opening by jake jakubuwski is one. You can also get the book by wayne yeager, cannot quite remember the title. from tme to time you can get manual off of ebay for specific safes. they are neat to review.

there are others, just have to look around.

I think Yeager's book is waste of money if you can get real locksmith stuff. And if you're looking for safe opening classes you probably can. While I haven't worked on safes yet, I really liked "Modern Safe Opening" from Robert Sieveking for drilling techniques and "Art of Manipulation" for, well manipulation.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

Safe opening classes,, there goes my wallet. I shall have to begin a search in my area.

Are the National Locksmith publications all pretty good on this subject? I just sent in my subscription card. :D
