Bandsaw Baldes as picks

i was thinking the other day as i was throwing out some old band saw and metal saw blades (You know the big looped ones) in my steel fab course that im taking that looks the right thickness and boy are they strong so im going to try it a see if they work out but if anyone else wants to try u should be able to get them for free at a steel shop they snap and dull all the time cutting metal or find a saw sharpening shop

Even if they are too blunt to cut steel any more, they might still be sharp enough to cut up long sentences and make room for some punctuation between the pieces.

Sorry about that, but indeed the sources of thin flat steel for making picks are probably endless. It is a matter of looking around you, just as you did, and being imaginative.

Forget the bandsaw blades at metal shops. You should aspire to a woodworking shop that resaws lumber. Here, you can get blades up to an inch wide.

you can get 1\4 inch to 4 inch metal blades with fine teeth . look a dot whats that for . i know metal saw blades are way stronger then wood blades. i ve broke in lots of wood blades not as many metal ones they get dull before they break. there made better then wood blades after all they cut metal not wood . but what ever just though i should pass the knowlege on to everyone else
