ACE hardware Diskus lock....made by Abus?

Postby Nismo-san » 7 Jul 2011 17:22

I picked up a Ace Hardware Stainless steel Diskus lock, very nice quality, no chinese stamping, and took a long time for me to learn to pick. I've heard rumors that ace padlocks are rebranded abus and american padlocks. Anyone know if this padlock is indeed a version of the abus diskus?? How many security pins does it have?, cause i have felt what seemed like spool pins, that tricked me quite a few times until i got my tension wrench and bogota raking down pat.

I am not sure if ace padlocks are rebranded abus and american padlocks
i have a couples of brinks disk R70 disk lock and they are fun to pick
also i know for sure they have a couples of security pins
i don't how many they have
but i know they must have a couples of them or just one
if you see the very first pin of the lock upfront before you put the key in
that pin is usally security pin mushroon pin
good luck.
