Fortess 40 mm

Postby edfel01 » 19 Jul 2011 11:04

First of all just to let veryone know i am new to lockpicking. Im able to unlock most of the padlocks in my small collection. the only one i cannot pick is a fortress 40 mm. I looked it up an everyone talks about how easy it is to open but for some reason i cannot get this padlock. Is there any tricks or tips to help me with this?

It has spool pin/s, have you picked anything with security pins before? They'll feel slightly different than normal pins. These are good for practicing security pins, and light tension, recognizing false sets, etc.

Does anyone know how many and type of security pins this lock contains? I'm using this as a practice lock and I'm not sure how many of the four pins are security pins. I have been able to pick it after about 15 minutes, just trying to get the feel of the security pins.
